Start with Papliba

Choose where Papliba runs, connect your tools, and explore your first Azure view.

1. Choose your installation

Papliba brings Azure infrastructure exploration, policy checks, and workflow design into one workspace. The web interface talks to a Papliba backend, also called the runner. A website alone cannot access your Azure environment.

Choose Local to process and save your workspace on your computer. Choose Self-hosted when your organization will operate the backend and database on its own server. Cloud runs these services in Papliba’s Azure environment; managed Cloud access is not open yet.

2. Connect Azure

In Local, install Azure CLI and its resource-graph extension, then sign in with your own organization account. In a hosted installation, sign in to Papliba with Microsoft and choose Connect Azure in Account settings. Your Azure permissions determine what can be read.

az login --tenant <your-tenant-id>
az extension add --name resource-graph

3. Explore your infrastructure

  1. Open Azure in the workspace sidebar. Start with Network, or switch to List to search resources.
  2. Select a subscription filter, then open a virtual network to inspect subnets and peerings.
  3. Use Refresh to reload inventory. Read any incomplete-data warnings before drawing conclusions.
  4. Open Policy Validation to save a plan and check Azure’s recorded evaluations.

4. Build your workspace

Create projects and workflow diagrams, edit Python step files, or sketch a network in Infradraw. Workflow execution is not implemented in this release. Infradraw sketches do not create Azure resources.
